Ans : It was the major event in which the weak Indians
had to fight against the brave English army. In this battle the Indians were
defeated. There were the following reasons for the defeat Indians have less opportunity to
fight against brave enemy.

2. There was no unity in Indian army.
For example, the Bengal army wanted to continue the ideal livelihood of Mughals
as it was before.

people refused to Indian army in battle.
5. The leadership of this army was very
weak. There was no ability of association and unity in Indian army.

residential area of Santhals.

tax.

Britishers. Britishers took several years to control over Mappilas.

Mangal Pandey?
Ans: Mangal
Pandey was a sepoy who openly disobeyed orders. He killed two English officers
at Barrackpore near Calcutta on 29 March 1857. He was arrested , tried and
executed. The regiments of Barrackpore are disbanded. The news of Mangal Pandey
incident very soon reached other parts of the country and resulted in open
revolt.
